Promoting science, technology, and innovation
VGP - The Ha Noi Party Committee convened a meeting on August 6 to discuss the six-month implementation of the municipal Party Committee’s program No.07 on promoting science, technology, and innovation in the city during the 2021-2025 period.
Deputy of Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that Ha Noi continues to push for the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park to become a city of science, technology, and education.
He tasked the Management Board of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to collaborate with universities and colleges to organize meetings and develop a strategic direction for the park's growth so that these institutions can make concrete and specific proposals.
"Once the Capital Planning is approved by the Prime Minister, universities in the city center will move to Hoa Lac to be integrated into the Hi-Tech Park, creating a hub for higher education and science and technology," he said.
He also urged universities and colleges to work with the Department of Education and Training to link up with teacher training institutions this August. This collaboration aims to enhance the training and professional development of teachers in the city.
Program 07 is one of the ten major work programs of the Ha Noi Party Committee for its 17th term (2021-2025).
A report from the city found that after three years of implementation, the program has become ingrained in everyday life and has produced significant results.
District governments have developed and launched plans and programs in the field of science and technology, including initiatives for experience to share, maintain, and apply a quality management system according to the national standard TCVN ISO 9001:2015, brand development, and the application of science and technology in agriculture, industry, environment, and information technology, as well as administrative reform.
According to the Ha Noi Institute for Socio-Economic Development Research, the projected contribution of TFP to Ha Noi's GRDP growth in 2023 is 62.86 percent.
The labor productivity growth target for the 2021-2025 period is set between 7 percent and 7.5 percent. From 2021 to 2023, the average growth rate of labor productivity reached 4.8 percent, higher than the national average of 4.3 percent.
The goal is that by the end of the 2021-2025 period, at least 40 percent of products associated with the "One Commune, One Product" program will have received support for the registration, protection, and management of intellectual property, ensuring quality control after protection. As of now, 198 out of 307 OCOP products from the community (those eligible for protection support) were recognized in the 2021-2023 period, achieving 64.5 percent./.
