Sports congress celebrates Liberation Day
VGP - The 10th Capital Sports Congress was officially kicked off on October 7 at the Ha Noi Athletics Palace to mark the 68th anniversary of the Liberation of Ha Noi which falls on October 10.

Under the theme "Togetherness – Shining Bright," the event drew the attendance of 8,000 athletes who are competing in 25 sports from October 7 to October 23.
These athletes won other contests which were held at all 30 districts and towns in the city.
Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Chu Xuan Dung said in his opening remarks that through the district-level qualification, many talented athletes are revealed, and they will surely have great efforts and contributions to the successes of Vietnam and Ha Noi in the future.
Ha Noi has remained one of the most successful localities in sports, with many achievements recorded in recent international and regional competitions.
At the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) in 2021, local athletes and coaches won 213 medals or 30% of Viet Nam's total. The medals included 62 gold medals, 35 silver medals and 116 bronze medals.
The 10th Capital Sports Congress is a key event that promotes physical training among the people of Ha Noi, said Vice Chairman Dung said./.
