Ha Noi is intensifying preparations for the upcoming military parade
Vice Chairwoman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha made the statement while chairing a meeting with municipal departments and local authorities to review arrangements for the national event. She emphasized the importance of promoting civic responsibility, calling for the active involvement of the entire political system to ensure the successful implementation of the A80 mission, as directed by the Government and the city.
To create a festive and orderly atmosphere, city authorities have instructed localities to launch clean-up campaigns, decorate streets, and display national flags. Additional facilities will also be provided, including more public toilets, temporary rest areas, free water, raincoats, and meals for people in need, especially those without accommodation.
The Vice Chairwoman stressed that overcharging, crowd pushing, or any mistreatment of the elderly, children, veterans, and war invalids would not be tolerated during the celebrations.
Ha Noi currently boasts 3,761 lodging facilities with over 71,000 rooms, including 85 hotels and serviced apartments rated from one to five stars. Five-star hotels have already rolled out promotional packages to welcome an expected surge in visitors.
Local authorities also urged residents and visitors to contribute to a greener, cleaner environment by cutting down on plastic waste, making use of public transportation, and showing respect for cultural and historical sites.
With comprehensive preparations underway, Ha Noi is aiming not only to ensure the smooth success of the military parade but also to leave a lasting impression of a friendly, vibrant, and hospitable capital.
Earlier, the Ha Noi People's Committee issued a directive which sets out measures to ensure the smooth running of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
Chairman of the People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has assigned vice chairmen to lead subcommittees, prepare detailed contingency plans and avoid any lapses.
The Logistics Subcommittee will supply essentials such as bottled water, dry rations and ready-to-eat food, as well as shelters against sun and rain. Free bus services will also be arranged, particularly for the elderly traveling from other localities to attend the event.
The highlight of the morning will be the grand military parade and public procession, set to begin at around 7.45am, with tens of thousands of participants marching along Ha Noi's historic boulevards.
The celebration will close with a mass artistic performance shortly before 10am, bringing the commemorative atmosphere to a crescendo./.
