Promoting image of Vietnamese Ao Dai through tourism gifts

Within the framework of the 2022 Work Review Conference of the Tourism Development Linkage Group between Ho Chi Minh City and 8 Northeast provinces, Agencies, mass organizations, and delegates held the ceremony to announce and award the "Design contest for souvenirs and tourist gifts in 2022".
"Through the association program, tourism promotion activities in the Northeast provinces feature many innovations", a representative of the Organizing Committee said.
The participation of professional designers in creating ideas for tourism products and souvenirs is essential for promoting local tourism images and attracting domestic and international tourists.
Therefore, tourism product design contests and awards are meaningful activities and will continue to be held to recognize creators' contributions.
Sharing with reporters, designer Vu Thao Giang - one of the authors who received this year's tourism product design award, said that she had started designing tourism products since 2019.
Previously, Vu Thao Giang launched many Ao Dai collections bearing the imprint of Vietnamese culture and heritage. A prime example is the collection "The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - The Golden Imprint", inspired by the complex of Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
Other outstanding works include the collection of mosaic ceramics "Bat Nha", the collection of royal motifs "Oriental pearl shape", the collection "Passing the Heritage" about 26 Vietnamese heritages recognized by UNESCO, and the set Brocade collection "Village Street".
These tourism products are unique and pervasive, receiving the welcome of local people and domestic and international tourists./.
